Fogleman: Could you state your name and occupation for the jury?

Driver: Jerry Driver, I'm the chief juvenile officer in Crittendon county.

Fogleman: And Mr. Driver, in your, um - since you've been in Crittendon county, uh - are you aquinted with, uh - Damien Echols?

Driver: Yes, I am.

Fogleman: You also aquinted with Jason Baldwin?

Driver: Yes sir.

Fogleman: And Jessie Misskelley?

Driver: Yes sir.

Fogleman: Now, I want you to direct your attention to November the 15th, 1992. Uh - did you have an occassion to at that time, to be in Lakeshore trailer park?

Driver: Yes, I did.

Fogleman: And what were the circumstances - general circumstances under which you were there?

Driver: I was out there on a normal, uh - drive through and uh - happen to stop uh - a car that we suspected of having a drunk driver. While we were out at that car, we saw three gentlemen walking by -

Fogleman: Alright, who were they?

Driver: Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, and Jason Baldwin.

Fogleman: And how were they dressed?

Driver: In black with long coats.

Fogleman: And uh - did they have anything in their hands?

Driver: Long sticks or staffs.

Fogleman: Now, is the person you referred to as Jason Baldwin, is he in the courtroom?

Driver: Yes sir.

Fogleman: Where is he?

Driver: Right over there in the green shirt.

Fogleman: Alright, may the record reflect the witness has identified the defendant.

The Court: It may so reflect.

Fogleman: And uh - the person you referred to as Damien Echols, is he in the courtroom?

Driver: Yes sir. Over there in the white shirt.

Fogleman: Alright, may the record reflect the witness has identified the defendant.

Fogleman: Now, subsequent to that day, uh - did you see the uh - the three of these people together on other occassions?

Driver: I've seen them on several occassions.

Fogleman: And do you know approximately how many times that you saw 'em between November the 15th and uh - June the 3rd? Approximately.

Driver: Maybe two or three times.

Fogleman: Ok. And uh - do you know where these - where you saw 'em?

Driver: Uh - twice, I think, at uh - at Walmat and once out in the trailer park.

Fogleman: Alright. And uh - were they all three together or just two or just one or how were they?

Driver: Well, the - about three times I saw the three of them together and then several more times I've seen two of them together.

Fogleman: Ok. And when you saw the two of them together, who were they?

Driver: Damien and Jason.

Fogleman: And how were they dressed?

Driver: Generally in black.

Fogleman: I don't have any further questions.

Ford: Mr. Driver, I've got on a black suit, is there anything wrong with wearing a black suit?

Driver: No sir.

Ford: Judge has got on a black robe, anything wrong with wearing a black robe?

Driver: No sir.

Ford: Anything wrong with three people together wearing black?

Driver: No sir.

Davidson: Did you see Mr. Echols on May the 5th of 1993?

Driver: I don't recall.

Davidson: That's all.
