Sanders: She was across the street at my Aunt's.

Davidson: At your Aunt's?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: Is that - where is that in relation to your house?

Sanders: It's just right across the street.

Davidson: And uh - so you were at home that evening and uh - what were you doing?

Sanders: Watching tv.

Davidson: And uh - do you recall what you watched?

Sanders: 90210.

Davidson: And, uh - how long were they there at the house?

Sanders: About 20 or 30 minutes.

Davidson: Ok and, uh - what did they do when they came in the house?

Sanders: They just came in, asked where my mom and dad was, and I told 'em and Pam wrote my mom and dad a letter to tell 'em that they came by and they sat there and watched tv and talked. And they left.

Davidson: Ok. Now uh - did you all have a phone at the time?

Sanders: No sir.

Davidson: Ok. And how do you know this occurred on May 5th of 1993?

Sanders: Because the night after that, I went to my boyfriend's concert. Band concert.

Davidson: Ok. And have you been questioned about this before?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: Who questioned you about this?

Sanders: Fogleman and Gitchell.

Davidson: Uh - Mr. Fogleman and Mr. Gitchell?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: And uh - you talked with them about this?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: And uh - are you telling us the same thing you told them?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: And you do recall this happening on May 5th?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davidson: That's all.

(pause)

Davis: Jennifer, I've got a few questions for you. Now, how long had you known the Hutchinsons and Damien?

Sanders: Well, they was friends with my parents whenever I was born.

Davis: Ok. And how many times, over the course of your 12 years, had they actually lived in the same house with you?

Sanders: About 3 years.

Davis: Ok. And as far as your testimony up here today, did you talk with anyone regarding the facts of what happened on the 5th - did you discuss that with anyone?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Did you discuss it with Mr. Price, Damien's attorney?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Ok. Did you discuss it with Mr. Davidson?

Sanders: No sir - well, this morning, I told him about them coming over.

Davis: Ok. So they discussed what your testimony was gonna be?

Sanders: They didn't tell me what to say or anything.

Davis: But did they discuss with you what your testimony was gonna be?

Sanders: Could you tell me -

Davis: Did ya'll talk about the facts that you were gonna testify to?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. And have you discussed it with your mother?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Alright, you never talked about this with your mother?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Ok. Did you ever talk about it with your sister?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Ok. Did you ever talk about it with the McKays across the street?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Ok. And never - this subject has never been mentioned between yourself and those 3 people?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Anybody in Damien's family had you discussed this with?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Now, you kept - you remember talking with Mr. Fogleman and giving him a statement, is that correct?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. And you said in that statement that there was - let me ask you this, was it unusual for Damien to come over to ya'll's house?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: Ok. Did his family come over there pretty frequently?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. And that was before and after the murders, right?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. And you remember telling Mr. Fogleman that in fact, right around this time period that Damien had been over there with two of his friends around 9:00 one night?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. And who was with him when he came over that night?

Sanders: Jason and this boy name Ken.

Davis: Ok. And when you talked with Mr. Fogleman, you weren't sure what time that was - what date it was that that occurred?

Sanders: I didn't - I don't remember.

Davis: You don't remember whether you told him a date or whether you knew when that had happened?

Sanders: I don't remember.

Davis: Ok. If your statement reflects that what you told him was that you couldn't remember a date but you thought it was before the boys were missing, would that be accurate?

Sanders: I don't remember.

Davis: Ok. Let me show you what is on page 23 - Your Honor, may I approach the witness, this is a transcript of your statement and the part that's highlighted in green, could you read that - the top 3 or 4 lines that's highlighted in green, could you read that?

Sanders: (reading) I forgot it was on a Friday that - oh I remember - well, I mean it was - it was in the last year - or yes, ok it was before, or under these words this these before - probably about April.

Davis: Ok. You indicated to Mr. Fogleman that they had come by before the murders occurred?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. Then you also tell him that you remembered tat because that was the night that your parents were at Splash.

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Ok. In fact, you told Mr. Fogleman that on this incident prior to May 5th, when the boys came over that your parents were at Splash on that occassion?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: And it was around 9 or 10:00 at night?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: And it was Damien and Jason, and who?

Sanders: Ken.

Davis: And how were they dressed that night? How was Damien dressed the night those three boys came over?

Sanders: He was dressed in all black.

Davis: Ok. Was that pretty usual?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: Was there anything unusual about you watching 90210 on Wednesday night?

Sanders: No sir.

Davis: You - if it was on Wednesday night, you would be watching it, right?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: You indicated that one way you were certain that this was on the 5th was because your boyfriend was playing in a band, is that right?

Sanders: Yes sir.

Davis: And that band played up at the hospital, is that correct?

Sanders: By the hospital.

Davis: By the hospital, ok. And what's your boyfriend's name?

Sanders: Nick Garza, he's my ex-boyfriend now.

Davis: Oh, ok. Uh - and what is the name of the band he played in or was it a school band or -

Sanders: - It was a school band.

Davis: Ok. Would that have been the spring concert for the school band?

Sanders: I think, I'm not for sure.

Davis: Ok. Pass the witness your Honor.

Davidson: Is there any doubt in your mind that on May 5th 1993, that you saw Damien come to your house - that he came to your house?

Sanders: He was there.

Davidson: That's all I have.

The Court: Anything else?

Davis: Your Honor, just a minute.

(pause)

Davis: And the way you remember that, Jennifer, is because the next night was when the band concert was, correct?

Sanders: Yes sir.

The Court: Alright, you may stand down. You're free to go. Call your next witness.
