ORDER
NOW on this 4th day of August, 1993, comes on for hearing the Motion for
Discovery of Brent Davis, Prosecuting Attorney within and for the Second
Judicial District of the State of Arkansas, by and through John N. Fogleman,
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Crittenden County, Arkansas, requesting that
the defendant, Michael Wayne Echols, a/k/a Damien Echols, be required to permit
the taking of his footprints, and after consIdering the Motion for Discovery
and statements of counsel, the Court finds:
(1) The defendant, Michael Wayne Echols, a/k/a Damien Echols, has been arrested
and charged with three counts of Capital Murder.
(2) The State of Arkansas, by its Motion for Discovery, has requested that the
defendant be required to permit the taking of his footprints.
(3) The request of the State for discovery involves no unreasonable intrusion
of the defendant's body.
IT IS, THEREFORE, BY THE COURT CONSIDERED AND ORDERED that the
defendant be required to permit the taking of his footprints.
