DIRECT EXAMINATION

BY CROW:
Q: State your name, ma'am.

A: Stephanie Dollar.

Q: Ms. Dollar, where do you live?

A: Highland Trailer Park in Marion, Arkansas.

Q: Okay. That the same trailer park in which Jessie Misskelley, Jr., resides in?

A: Yes, it is.

Q: Okay. If you will -- may I approach the witness, your Honor? If you will turn around (inaudible) State's Exhibit 2, can you -- see if you can find Highland Trailer Park for me.

A: Yes.

Q: Okay. Would you look at the roads and stuff -- is that an accurate description of what Highland Trailer Park pretty much the layout is?

A: Yes.

Q: Okay. Can you show me roughly where you live on Highland Trailer Park?

A: Right here.

CROW: Okay. Do you mind if we mark on your exhibit where she lives?

FOGLEMAN: I don't have any objection to you marking on it, I don't (inaudible)

CROW: Marking with this green highlighter, would you indicate where in Highland Trailer Park you reside?

DOLLAR: (MARKING)

CROW: Okay...okay. Thank you, now you can just take your seat.

BY CROW:
Q: May not be able to see it very well. That is at the north -- do streets in Highland Trailer Park have, have names on them?

A: No.

Q: Okay, they don't have names. Okay, there's one street that looks like it running north and south down through the middle of the trailer park.

A: Mm-hmm.

Q: And you live at the north end of that street?

A: Mm-hmm.

Q: What's your actual address?

A: Route 2, Box 46, Marion, Arkansas.

Q: Okay. In relation to where you live, where did Jessie Misskelley live?

A: About - there's a street, and then there's a trailer and then there's his trailer, so it's just a couple of trailers.

Q: Okay. There is a street -- your house runs on --

A: My house runs at the "T."

Q: Your house faces the street running east and west?

A: Yes.

Q: Okay. You cross that street and then there's --

A: A trailer and another trailer, then this trailer is his.

Q: Second trailer is Jessie's?

A: Yes.

Q: Not very far?

A: No.

Q: Okay. Are you friends with Jessie?

A: Yes, I am.

Q: Would you like to see him come home?

A: Yes, I would.

Q: Do you understand you are under oath?

A: Yes, I am.

Q: Are you willing to lie for Jessie?

A: No, I am not.

Q: Are you going to tell the truth?

A: Yes, I am.

DAVIS: Your Honor, at this point I'll object to leading. This is his witness. He's asked four leading questions in a row. He can ask open ended questions and let her testify.

THE COURT: Avoid leading.

CROW: Yes, your Honor.

BY CROW:
Q: There was something I was a little bit confused about when we started. What was Jessie's hair style on May the 5th, 1993?

A: He had lines that was drawn in on the side and it was short on top.

Q: Okay. The lines were in his hair at that time?

A: Yes. But the little thing on top was not on his head.

CROW: Okay. Your Honor, I anticipate recalling this witness, but I wanted to clarify that before we went any further so, that's all I have for now.

THE COURT: You say you're going to recall?

CROW: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: You wanna do your cross now or later?

DAVIS: Your Honor, we reserve our cross examination for the later time.

THE COURT: Alright. You may stand down. You need to go back to the witness room. Call your next witness.
